A bit of a negative departure from their vintage release tradition. |

Very tasty - a little bit of "wild peat" |
Northern Highlandish |
Becoming one of my favorite distilleries. I really like the heartiness of the Northern Highlands and this malt fits right in. |

Cucumber. A deep inhale divulges some notes of the sea. |
|
Light caramel, very smooth. No strong flavor spikes of any kind. |
Watery at the end. |
Appeared to me to be designed for smoothness at the expense of character. Over the 30 years the whisky master went for a fully integrated taste with consistency removing any roughness which is where a lot of the flavor is. |
