Wet oak |
Rich and medium-bodied |
Creamy butter, toffee and butterscotch |
Coating, but somewhat bitter finish |
Lousy packaging...the box was not designed to pick up from the top. Overly fancy packaging and leather trim on the bottle makes me think the distillery is trying to hide something undesirable about the scotch. |

A light but happy taste. |

A speyside with a little bit of taste. It wears its 16 years quite well. I'm sure the lesser aged malts that go into blends lack the character of this expression. |

Sweet, then meaty. cutting it draws out the toffee and less ether |
Long, kind of bitter, not very comforting/friendly |
48% - needs to be cut, it's rough without it. |

Cut or as a 48? The bottler recommends both, btw. It actually needed the help as it became fruity and tasteful upon cutting. |

Black licorice - a lot of traction igniting cotton mouth |
Morning after cottonmouth. After cut lots of chocolate covered cherries. Way better cut. |
